Three Dog Memorial Walkathon

This is an annual event, and we hope you will participate annually. The walkathon has one purpose - to increase the funds for the Carteret County Humane Society Animal Shelter in order for the physical, mental, emotional, and medical standards to be improved for those companion animals being housed there. We hope you enjoy your walk, and we greatly appreciate your involvement and sponsor donations.

Where will your donations go?

This year the proceeds from the event (100%) will go to the CCHS shelter fundraisers (PHP), the shelter’s programs for fostering cats and transporting dogs — Cat Pounce and Dog Gone Transport, and two non-profit organizations that pull from the shelter regularly — Encore Pets and Beaufort Community Cat Project. These organizations make room for the incoming animals so that our shelter can remain a low-kill shelter.
